Collection: Challma Chimpana Village

This community is watched over by their sacred mountain guardian Apu Wayruroni, known in Q’ero history as the Apu, who protected Q’eros from the Spanish conquistadores. Informing the Paqos of danger, this Apu created a landslide to stop the invasion—effectively repelling smallpox, and thus safeguarding their Inka traditions for hundreds of years.

Challma Chimpana is the home of Juan Q’espi Calcina, President of Q’ero Wayruroni Association.
